Events and Trainings

Persons needing special accommodations to attend these event, or any event, should contact Martha-Paula McAliley at (561) 844-6400, ext. 228, at least 7 days in advance of the event, so that appropriate arrangements can be made.

The Spring Luncheon is unlike any other event, as it truly has the potential to change someone's life. Chemical dependency is a disease that cuts across all demographic and economic lines. This fundraising event is our only true fundraiser. It promotes our mission by featuring a nationally recognized celebrity speaker, who has either struggled or has had a loved one who has struggled with substance abuse. Their strength to present their story inspires others to speak and perhaps, seek treatment.

Proceeds from this event benefit our many programs, specifically, the adolescent programs which aid the individual and their families throughout the entire Continuum of Care, including the adolescent residential program, detoxification, outpatient, case management, and aftercare services.

The Holiday Gala and Peter Fairclough Memorial Recognition Awards is a unique community relations event that celebrates recovery and the outstanding vision, dedication and leadership of CARP, Inc. founder Peter Fairclough. The Peter Fairclough Memorial Recognition Award is presented to recipients who represent a similar vision and commitment to improving the availability of quality treatment services for chemically dependent persons and their families.

The Holiday Gala has an unusually warm feeling, reminiscent of a family reunion. We value that intimacy and feel it is what makes this event a special celebration of the development of the field of substance abuse treatment in Palm Beach County.
