Programs & Services

Continuum of Care Services Provided Include:

  • Medical Detoxification Program
CARP, Inc. operates a medical admissions program for adolescents and adults on the West Palm Beach comprehensive service campus. Services provided to adults and adolescents include social detoxification, medical detoxification and medical case management. Medical detoxification services are provided by a physician, psychiatrist, skilled nursing and nursing support staff, and case managers trained in chemical dependency treatment. The unit is open 24 hours a day, seven days a week. Average length of stay is 3-5 days.
  • Adult Homeless Services
The CARP, Inc. Homeless Assessment Center provides a one-of-a-kind triage assessment program, which was developed by Robert P. Bozzone, CEO, CARP, Inc., to identify homeless clients’ needs, provide stabilization services and referral/linkage for continuing care in two phases. Phase I includes assessment and referral/linkage services and Phase II includes residential support and referral services, for hard to place clients, in a DCF-licensed Residential Level IV facility. The program utilizes the services of a comprehensive service campus, so as to add extra value to services provided that would otherwise be cost prohibitive for a stand-alone program, such as medical detoxification, physician and nursing care, psychiatric evaluation and medications management, transportation, a full-service kitchen and cafeteria, residential and outpatient treatment and case management services.
  • Adult Intensive Residential Services
After stabilization and medical clearance, clients may be admitted to our residential programs which provide specialized services in gender-specific programs, to men and women. Clients are expected to achieve abstinence, break denial patterns, learn relapse prevention skills and demonstrate self-responsibility.  Clinicians facilitate educational lectures, group counseling and rehabilitative activities which enable clients to develop a positive approach to sober living.  Average length of stay is 60 days.
  • Adolescent Intensive Residential Services
Our family-centered intensive residential treatment program is uniquely designed for males and females, 13-17 years of age. Treatment strategies guide the adolescent in learning how to maintain an abstinence-based recovery, and work toward rebuilding positive family and social relationships while providing special academic education through daily academic instruction, with the use of Individualized Education Plans (IEP) for all clients in our alternative school of the Palm Beach County School System. Average length of stay is 180 days.
  • Adult Intermediate Residential Services
During this phase, clients center their attention on maintaining sobriety while developing skills for employment, establishing healthy relationships, managing money and becoming involved in the community. The goal is to help clients transition from the treatment environment to interdependent living in the community at large. Average length of stay is 120 days.
  • Adult Outpatient Services
Clients in the outpatient program attend treatment sessions while they continue their responsibilities at work, at home and in the community.  Through individual, group and family counseling sessions, clients learn about the disease of chemical dependency, the recovery process and relapse prevention skills. Average length of stay is 12 weeks.
  • Adolescent Outpatient Services
Individual, group and family counseling is provided by an Adolescent Outpatient Counselor. Assessments are provided to those in need and services are offered to adolescents and families who require a less restrictive level of care. Average length of stay is 12 weeks.
  • Aftercare Services
Aftercare services are designed to provide support for continued recovery and to help prevent relapse and reduce recidivism. Clients who successfully complete treatment participate in an aftercare support program once a month, for 12 months. Intervention is provided to those who feel their recovery may by jeopardized, and brief therapy is provided to those who are in need to prevent relapse.
